It seems a long time ago since my christening, over 24 years to be exact. However, from that special day there’s always one present that always stands out for me. Whilst some people decided to opt for the more traditional silver bracelet, a St Christopher pendant or a silver bookmark, there is one present that stands out from the crowd. My favourite present from that day was a beautiful Silver Yoyo I received from my godmother. Back then there weren’t many quirky solid silver presents available and like I’ve mentioned people tended to opt for more traditional silver baby gifts. I have set this site up to become dedicated specifically to the silver yoyo.
There are hundreds of silversmiths and christening gift websites out there offering many different styles, engraving, quality and specifications for silver yoyo’s and I intend to find these variations so you can make a calculated judgment when you decide that a silver yo yo is the gift you choose to give.
Whilst a silver yoyo makes a great gift it lacks the functional specification of new style yoyos and because its made of silver it can become quite heavy and cumbersome after a short period of time. I recommend you only buy the yoyo as a novelty keepsake as something they can treasure as momentum for a special occasion.
